Médaille de bronze dans la catégorie « Photographie de Studio »
This series is part of a larger project of fine art photographs taken during live flamenco performances started in 2020 and still ongoing. The aim is to represent the universal language of emotions through two-step flamenco dance between light and emotion : an artistic approach to make people recognize their own emotions, accept their vulnerability, give it space and experience it. Flamenco, inscribed on the World Heritage List, was born in a folk environment and expresses itself through improvisation, the spontaneous expression of emotions with intensity, without fear of showing vulnerability. In a world that encourages us to wear masks to conform, the goal is to reconnect with ourselves, face our emotions, embrace our vulnerability and make it our strength. My photographic approach takes the literal meaning of the word "photography" - writing with light - and develops into "painting with light". I love movement as an expression of change, the unpredictability of life, evolution, the need to adapt, the need for balance. I love light as a source of energy, strength, passion, faith and inspiration, but I also love shadow as a source of contrast, intensity and depth.
